GLP-1 medications
What are GLP-1 weight loss injections?
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications are FDA-approved treatments that help regulate appetite, improve blood sugar balance, and increase feelings of fullness. They work by mimicking a natural hormone in your body, helping you feel satisfied with smaller portions and reducing hunger between meals.
Semaglutide
Starting as low as $150
Semaglutide is a once-weekly injectable medication that belongs to the GLP-1 receptor agonist family. It has been FDA-approved for both type 2 diabetes management and chronic weight management in appropriate patients.
Semaglutide works by slowing gastric emptying (so food stays in the stomach longer) thus reducing appetite signals in the brain and supports sustainable weight loss over time.
Tirzepatide
Starting as low as $175
Tirzepatide is a newer once-weekly injectable medication that acts on two hormone pathways: GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). Because it targets dual metabolic pathways, it may provide enhanced appetite suppression and blood sugar control for some individuals.
Tirzepatide may promote greater feelings of fullness; reducing overall caloric intake and support significant weight reduction when combined with lifestyle changes.
Who can benefit?
Our programs are ideal for adults who
Our provider will perform a detailed evaluation to determine which treatment is safest and most effective for your needs.
- 01 Have a BMI over 27 with weight-related health conditions
- 02 Struggle with appetite regulation or insulin resistance
- 03 Prefer a non-surgical approach to weight loss
- 04 Are committed to long-term health improvements
- 05 Have been unsuccessful with diet and exercise alone
Some prominent health criteria identified are
Diabetes
For individuals with diabetes, medical weight management can be an important part of controlling blood sugar, alongside healthy eating and physical activity. Excess weight increases the demand on the pancreas to produce insulin, and weight loss can help reduce this strain and support long-term metabolic health.
Obesity
Obesity can significantly impact overall health and increase the risk of multiple chronic conditions. If previous medically supervised diets have not been successful, medical weight-loss options may offer a more effective, structured approach.
Heart Disease
If you are overweight and have a personal or family history of heart disease, weight loss can play a key role in protecting your heart. Maintaining a healthy weight reduces strain on the heart and arteries, improving blood flow and lowering the risk of serious complications.
